  • Find the power button on the TrueHb device and switch it on by pressing the power button for approximately 3 seconds. Upon switching the device on, you should see the screen of the device light up. You will see the battery symbol and 3-digit test strip code on the screen.
  • Take a minute and inspect the test strip code shown on the bottle. The code displayed on the batch should match the code mentioned on the strip bottle.
  • If the code does not match, use the left and right arrows to move across and choose the desired digit. Then choosing the up and down arrow, change the digit to match the code mentioned on the strip bottle. Now, press the power button to confirm or accept the code. This confirms the code and prepares the device to accept the test strip.
  • Once you have confirmed the test strip code on the screen, insert the test into the TrueHb device. The arrow in black should be pointing towards the device, once the strip is inserted.
  • After the strip is successfully inserted, you should be able to see a blood drop symbol flash on the display of the device.
  • Avoid contact with any foreign object or even fingers with the white test area of the strip.

  • Use the lancets provided with your TrueHb Hemoglobin Monitoring kit to prick your fingertip.
  • Before you prick your fingertip, it is essential to prepare the area by washing and cleaning your hands thoroughly. Dry your hands with a towel and get ready for blood collection.
  • Massage your fingertip you intend to use for blood collection for a moment.
  • Now, taking a lancet, firmly prick your fingertip.
  • Remove the first two droplets of blood and then use the third drop of blood.
  • Gently put the third drop of blood on the white area on the test strip.

Step 3: Check and Read the Result

  • Once the blood drop is added to the white area of the test strip, the timer will appear on the screen of your device.
  • After 60 seconds, the results from the hemoglobin test will appear on the screen on the device.
