Corporate Development Manager

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize and develop new products and services – organically or via partnerships and acquisitions.
2. Creating new opportunities for growing the business, organically and inorganically through in – licensing.
3. Developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure donations, grants, and investments.
4. Develop campaign plans to improve the organisation’s fundraising objectives.
5. Prepare and submit proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant applications to potential funders.
6. Investigating patent utilization, commercial offensive, and defensive value to help make decisions to maintain or abandon patents.
7.Supports all aspects of the company’s intellectual property program, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
8. Evaluates issued patents, prepares, or obtains analysis, and ensures Project and Senior management is informed on aspects of intellectual property rights owned by other entities.
9. Maintain and update department files, records, charts, and publications (including creating and updating files in database (PATRICIA) for IP matters).
10. Manage the prosecution of international trademark filings.
11. Provide advice, counsel, and analysis of domestic and international copyright, media definitions, and contractual interpretation.

Key Skills:

1. Conduct industry and market research and analysis in support of strategic management decisions
2. Understand and be a source of critical information on the competitive landscape and industry offerings.
3. Present strategy recommendations supported by compelling data to internal stakeholders.
4. Work closely with the Product, Healthcare Operations, Marketing, Legal and Research teams to execute our business strategy.
5. Perform internal cross-functional feasibility on business development opportunities and establish agreement among multiple teams.
6. Support on structuring, negotiating, and executing partnering agreements across a broad range of deal structures.
7. Some travel may be needed to attend relevant industry conferences.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in business administration or life sciences, preferably an IIT.
2. Excellent written and verbal command of English, a second language desirable.
3. Experience in team leadership and department management.
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Assertive and persuasive negotiating abilities.
6. An acute business intuition.
7. The ability to perform in-depth market research and competitive analysis.
